Hi! My name is Susan Davila and I’m a CA credentialed teacher and private tutor for OC Learning Solutions. For over 20 years I’ve enjoyed teaching in the Placentia-Yorba Linda School District as a K-6 Substitute, Special Ed Aide and also as a First grade teacher in a faith-based private school. I am a passionate and patient educator who encourages creativity, using a multisensory approach to learning. As a trained educator in the teaching methods designed by the Barton/Orton-Gillingham reading and spelling programs, I have the opportunity to work with neuro-divergent students in a program that is proven to increase students’ confidence in becoming lifelong learners. OC Learning Solutions provides a unique calling to contribute my educational experience and I’m excited to work with you!

Hi, I’m Ms. Kelsey, and my passion lies in making a positive impact on the lives of children. Currently, I’m on an educational journey at Arizona State University (ASU) with the goal of becoming a child psychologist. My love for children and a strong commitment to their well-being drive this aspiration. Before starting my college journey at ASU, I had the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the field of child development as a counselor at Turtle Rock Preschool. This experience provided me with firsthand insights into the joys and challenges of working with young children. It solidified my desire to pursue a career in child psychology. My love for children is not just a profession; it’s a personal calling. I combine my academic knowledge with real-world experience, positioning myself as a promising future child psychologist. I’m not only empathetic but also well-prepared to understand and support the unique needs of children. Hello, I’m Alicia Sheikh-Arvizu! Residing in Huntington Beach, my family and I cherish our time in and around water, it is one of the places I have discovered a profound sense of peace and joy.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Human Development with a focus on Early Childhood Education and boast over 20 years of teaching experience across all education levels, from preschool to college. Throughout my career, my emphasis has been on fostering holistic student development. I firmly believe that academic success is intertwined with social and emotional strengths, recognizing each student has their unique skills and interests to connect to.
As a mother of a neuro-divergent child, I am particularly passionate and dedicated about supporting students with diverse needs. My previous experience spans general and special education classrooms, where I tailored my approach to cater to individual needs and strengths. Now, as a tutor at OC Learning Solutions, I eagerly anticipate collaborating with a diverse range of students and families. My goal is to contribute to the growth and confidence of students with Dyslexia and other learning differences, empowering them on their educational journeys.

With a degree in education, I’ve spent nearly four years in the world of teaching, honing my skills and understanding the unique needs of learners. My journey began as a Customer Service Representative, where I developed a strong sense of communication and service excellence. This experience laid the foundation for my transition into the field of education, where I worked as a teacher for almost four years, guiding and inspiring students to reach their full potential. I’ve also undergone intensive training in the field of digital marketing, equipping me with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this ever-evolving landscape. Currently, I’m responsible for creating content and handling administrative tasks at OC Learning Solutions.
